RURAL YOUTH GALA 2017

8th Rural Youth Gala Celebrates Leadership
Young community leaders were recognized in a festive evening at CVR .

Thursday, May 11th marked the 8th annual Rural Youth Gala, which was held for a full house at the CVR auditorium. Fifty-two inspiring nominees ages 6 - 24, along with their parents, loved ones and prominent local officials gathered to celebrate the outstanding contributions of youth in the Haut Saint Laurent.

Nominees:
 
Sara Bohemen - For her dedication and hard work in various sports. Her leadership skills and positive energy make her a great role model for younger athletes.
Kristina Collum - For her involvement and effort in the greenhouse at CVR. Her dedication transformed the environment into a blossoming green space that people can enjoy and feel at peace in.
Angelina DeMarco - For her involvement and effort in the greenhouse at CVR. Her dedication transformed the environment into a blossoming green space that people can enjoy and feel at peace in.
Joshua Deschambault - For teaching himself coding programs and for sharing his knowledge & passion of computer programming with other students.
Leanne Duncan - For her incredibly hard work and determination in athletics.
Annabelle Nadeau-Germann - For her continuous dedication & perseverance in athletics, and especially for her support towards her team.
Lauren Hill - For her impressive sportsmanship, dedication, team spirit, and positive attitude towards athletics.
Emma Krobath - For her dedication and hard work in various sports. Her leadership skills and positive energy make her a great role model for younger athletes.
Kevin MacFarlane - For his implication and willingness to help in CVR’s Student Leadership program and basketball team. He approaches volunteerism with great enthusiasm, and is a positive influence on younger students.
Lindsay Roy - For her continuous dedication & perseverance in athletics and especially for her support towards her team.
Elizabeth Seguin - For her hard work and dedication in all of the different dimensions of the Talent Fest show. Her kindness and patience with students reflected the wonderful outcome of the show.
