A New Mural in the Library! This week, CVR students were joined by artists from the art collective En Masse Pour Les Masses, to create a mural inspired by our new school motto, I'm in Charge of My Learning. And in charge, they were! 18 CVR students worked together to brainstorm, plan, and paint the mural, with guidance from the artists. The mural is now on display in our library for all to see. A big congrats to everyone who took part! You should be very proud of yourselves for creating such an impressive and expressive piece.

Share-A-Pair campaign proves that the spirit of giving is alive and well at CVR!
Société de Développement Social January 3 at 6:42 AM |
One girl, one idea, one class, one school…1000 pairs of socks. When grade 10 student Shayne Meadows approached her grade 10 English teacher about collecting socks to help the Société de Développement Social, an organization that her sister works for, she never imagined that her fellow students would answer with 1000 pairs of socks.
Shayne, with the help of the her fellow students in Ms. Filiatrault’s English class, came up with an advertising plan that made sure that anybody who is attached to CVR in any way, knew about the “Share-A-Pair” sock drive. Through the use of all social media outlets, flyers and posters scattered all over the school, daily announcements and visits to all CVR students in their Springboards, this amazing group of kids was able to inspire the student body. The result was something they never imagined, an astounding 1000 pairs of socks were donated during the two week sock drive. |
